HOW FLEXTEND® WORKS

CTS and RSI's are caused by a muscle imbalance between the strong, tight overused flexor muscles that 'close' the hands, and the weak, underdeveloped extensor muscles that 'open' the hands. The strong, short, tight flexor muscles pull on the carpal and metacarpal bones, which causes them to shift, thus impinging the median and/or ulnar nerves.

FLEXTEND eliminates the symptoms of CTS and RSI's by correcting the strength / length imbalance between the flexor and extensor muscles.

FLEXTEND actively strengthens the weaker, less developed finger, wrist and elbow extensors and finger abductors while simultaneously stretching the strong, short, tight finger, wrist and elbow flexors and finger adductors; thus reducing compression / impingement of the median and ulnar nerves. -

FLEXTEND'S EFFECT ON THE FINGER, WRIST & ELBOW EXTENSORS:

  • Actively strengthens finger, wrist, elbow extensors and finger abductors.
  • Stabilizes the finger MP, PIP, DIP, CMC, wrist, and elbow joints.
  • Dramatically increases range of motion in wrist extension.
  • Increases grip-strength. - FLEXTEND'S EFFECT ON THE FINGER, WRIST & ELBOW FLEXORS:
  • Actively stretches the finger, wrist, elbow flexors and finger abductors.
  • Breaks up adhesions and scar tissue caused by injury or trauma.
  • Stretches Palmaris Longus Fascia, allowing muscles and bones to move.
  • Stretches the Thenar and Hypothenar adductor muscles.
  • Dramatically increases finger MP, PIP and DIP joint flexion.
  • Dramatically increases wrist flexion. · Increases grip-strength.
